It features the following Babolat technology -- Exact Pro System, Michelin OCS sole, heel cushioning and comfort with the Kompressor System, Foot Bel Technology, and Cell Shield. It also comes with a six month warranty.

COMFORT: The Babolat Propulse 3 is an extremely light shoe, very supple, and is good to wear straight out of the box. I particularly liked the flex in the upper foot area. With some shoes, if there's too little flex, it not only inhibits my movement, it makes me feel like my foot's in a straitjacket. Not so with the Propulse 3; it has a slipper or glove like feel to it, but at the same time offers a good amount of stability.

I also found the cushioning to be great for performance. Even though the quantity of underfoot cushioning appears to be on the light side, especially in the front of the shoe, the impact absorption is really good. What's also really good is that it's a low to the ground shoe which is great for agility and explosive movement.

To do this review, I wore the shoes until they were unwearable. In the process, I discovered everything there is to know about them. I gave them every chance to show any areas that caused discomfort or concern and found nothing. There wasn't any part of the shoe that caused even enough friction to irritate skin or cause blisters, which is often the case when testing a completely new shoe that has a different shape to the shoes you are used to. As far as comfort goes, the Babolat Propulse 3's are truly exceptional.

ARCH SUPPORT: The shoes really suited the shape of my feet. They had support where I needed it and no pressure anywhere else. So much so that I felt as though the shoes were custom made to fit the shape of my foot.

FOOT SUPPORT: The Babolat Propulse 3's are not only extremely light and comfortable, I also found them to be impressively supportive. The real test for me when it comes to evaluating shoe stability is how they perform when you're taken out wide and then have to put the brakes on in order to recover quickly. In this respect, the Propulse 3's performed beautifully. The shoes are so soft that you have total freedom of movement; however, the supportive straps really keep your feet secure. Of course, the Propulse technology even further enhanced shoe performance in this area.

DURABILITY: Before I begin, I want to go on record as someone who is rough on shoes. This was also the case with the Propulse 3's. Of all the areas that are personally applicable in the evaluation of a shoe, durability is not something I put much emphasis on. As long as durability is reasonable in a pair of shoes, it doesn't affect my decision as to whether I'll wear them. My primary concern is what's good for my feet and legs.

They are a true performance shoe, and they're right at the upper end of the performance shoe range; however, the durability of the Propulse 3's is somewhere in the mid range. I found the toe durability to be excellent, but the outsoles, even though they last well for the relative thinness of the cushioning, they do wear through quicker than many shoes that emphasize durability at the expense of weight and comfort.

TRACTION: I found the unusually shaped pattern to offer excellent tration. Most of
my play was on a medium paced hard court with a surface tending toward
smooth. The shoes gave me just the right amount of traction; not once
did I slip, and neither did the shoes "grab" or stick to the surface
unexpectedly.

 My only word of caution is that for the first few minutes of play, the outsole has a type of sheen that needs to be roughed up a fraction before you get the full traction that the shoes offer. The light weight, Propulse technology, low to the ground feel and fantastic traction make the Babolat Propulse 3 a top of the line competitor in the Mens performance tennis shoe category.

SUMMARY:  Since reviewing the Babolat Propulse 3 Mens Tennis shoes, I've learned that this model has literally propelled US sales of Babolat tennis shoes through the roof. It's no surprise really; the Propulse 3 is a great looking performance shoe that is exceptional for movement, is extremely comfortable with good stability and great traction.
