Head Microgel Extreme Racquets have been especially designed for aggressive, competitive players with a long swing style.  With the MicroGEL technology, they have an overall rounder shape, and extra stability against twisting. The Head Microgel Extreme has a relatively stiff feel to it, and is also very comfortable to play with.  

The Head Microgel Extreme Pro Racquet has all the benefits of the extreme in a heavier, stiffer version. It's a racquet for very aggressive hitters (like Ivan Ljubicic, who uses it).  The racquet is custom built for players who like to control points from the back of the court with huge pace and spin.  At 11.1oz unstrung, and balanced head light, for strong, advanced players, the Extreme Pro is an easy racquet to maneuver.

Upon ball impact, Head MicroGEL "uniformly distributes the impact load around the frame," giving a fairly stiff racquet a nice, comfortable feel to it.  The increase in head width not only has the benefit of being able to produce more spin, but also has the added benefit of increasing the sweetspot.

MicroGEL is a revolutionary silicon-based material with the lowest density of any solid known on the planet.  This incredible "Super Material" weighs only about 3mg per cubic centimeter, but is able to support up to 400 times its own weight.  HEAD has combined MicroGEL with stiff and strong carbon composite fibers to create a racquet with incredibly responsive qualities.

On ball impact, the MicroGEL material deforms and compresses, absorbing and dispersing the impact to the entire frame, then returns quickly to its original shape.
